Working through Upwork? Keep 100% of what you earn.
Upwork is a fine place to find your first clients. But it is a marketplace: it takes a service fee out of what you bill, and it keeps your clients tied to its platform and its messaging. Slide Practice gives your one-to-one practice a home of its own, whether you coach, consult, tutor, train, or advise on nutrition.
And you do not have to leave Upwork to use it. Slide is an added listing, never a commitment.
What a marketplace costs you
Upwork takes a freelancer service fee out of everything you bill through it. Since 2025 that fee is variable rather than the old flat rate: it is set per contract and shown to you when you send the proposal, so what you keep depends on the contract you are on. Whatever the number, it is a fee on your income for as long as the client stays on the marketplace, and the relationship, the messaging, and the payment stay inside it. Fees change, so check Upwork's current fee schedule before you do your own arithmetic.
The three things Slide does differently
You keep 100% of what you earn
Slide takes no commission, ever, on any plan. Clients pay you directly, your own way, and Slide never handles your clients' payment details. You pay for a plan, not a slice of your income. See pricing.
Verified humans
Identity verification is free on every plan. A real person on our team checks that you are a real person, and verified profiles carry a badge that clients can filter for. How verification works.
No lock-in
Slide is an added listing, never a commitment. Keep your Upwork profile, your own site, your socials, your Calendly, and the way you take payment, and export everything at any time. Read the promise.
