Switching from TutorCruncher
Every sentence about TutorCruncher below is quoted from its own public pages, read on 8 September 2026. The two products are aimed at different sizes of business, so the first section is a fit test, and for a good number of readers it will end with "stay where you are".
What you do today
TutorCruncher's US page describes itself as "the most comprehensive tutoring management software" and offers "one platform to manage scheduling, payments, tutors, and lessons". It says it is built for tutoring businesses, and names test prep centers, agencies, learning centers, online tutoring companies and multi-location agencies as who it is for. The features it lists on that page include automated payments and payroll, tutor management, scheduling and matching, multi-currency invoicing, calendar integration and online booking for families.
Its pricing page lists three plans, and the US page quotes them in dollars: Pay as you go starting from $30 a month, Startup starting from $80 a month, and Enterprise starting from $240 a month. The pricing page states a "Free 2-week trial on all plans" and says every tier carries unlimited users and unlimited lessons.
The fit test, and it is the honest one. If you employ other tutors, run payroll for them, or bill families for a roster of lessons, that is work Slide does not do at all. Slide has no payroll, no tutor dispatch and no family billing, and none of those are planned. A business with several tutors is the case TutorCruncher's own pages are written for, and switching to a tool that does not have those parts would cost you the parts you rely on. Stay where you are.
The rest of this page is for the other reader: one person, teaching or coaching or advising one-to-one, who bought a business platform and uses one corner of it.
What changes
Slide is built around the record and the write-up after a one-to-one session, and it is not tutoring-only: coaches, tutors, trainers, nutritionists and consultants all use the same product. Three things change if you move.
- The write-up stops being hand work. Upload the session recording and the draft is waiting: the summary, the action items and the client or parent email. You read it, change what is wrong, and press send. Nothing sends without you.
- Everything sits on one client page. Each client gets a private page holding their write-ups in order and their next steps, and they can read it themselves. Action items carry from one session to the next instead of being retyped.
- Rates can slide. Set your full rate and Slide suggests a reduced rate and a community rate from it, so a client picks what they can afford. You set all three.
What does not change: today the write-up comes from a recording you upload after the session, which works on every plan. The meeting recorder that would join a Zoom or Google Meet call is not live yet and has never joined a call, so do not move for that.

What you keep
- Your money, all of it. Slide takes no commission, ever, and never processes payments between you and your client. Clients pay you directly at booking through your own payment link, so what they pay you is what you keep.
- Your clients and your records. Bring over names, emails, phone numbers and notes, and past bookings as records. Export the lot again at any time. How that works.
- Your calendar and your site. Slide sits alongside what you already use rather than replacing it, so you can run both while you move and close nothing until you are ready.
- Your approval on every send. Slide drafts, you edit, you send.
What it costs: a 7-day Pro trial with no card, then $14.99 a month on Starter, $29.99 on Pro, or $49.99 on Max. Starter includes 20 write-ups a month, Pro 200 and Max 500. Slide has no free plan. The first 30 founding practitioners get Pro at $19 a month for 12 months, then $29.99.
