How do I change a write-up before it goes?

You type over it. The draft is editable text, it saves itself while you work, and it sits there until you press send. Nothing reaches a client before a person has read it.

Editing

Open the write-up and every section is editable in place. Change a line, cut a paragraph, add the thing the recording did not capture because it happened at the door. The page saves as you go and tells you when it last did, so there is no save button to forget and no draft to lose by closing the tab.

You are the editor, not a reviewer of somebody else's copy. The draft is raw material: what your client reads is what you decided it says.

Reading it the way they will

Two things to look at before it goes. Send a test to myself posts the write-up to your own account email, and it is the same send, not a preview of one, so what arrives is the exact email a client receives, in your own inbox, with your own mail client's rendering. Preview and send shows you the client's view and sends from there.

Sending

One press. The client gets the write-up by email with a private link to their portal, and the write-up joins everything else on their page in order. The button then changes to Open your client's view, which is the same page they are looking at.

There is no scheduled send, no automatic send, and no setting that turns one on. A write-up that was not sent by a person was not sent.

What the statuses mean

• Processing. Slide is still transcribing or drafting. The page refreshes itself; you do not have to sit and watch it.
• Ready. The draft is written and nobody has touched it yet.
• Edited. You have changed something and it is saved.
• Sent. It has gone to the client, with the time it went.

After it has gone

The write-up stays on that client's page, so the twentieth session opens with the previous nineteen underneath it. If you need to correct something after the fact, say so in the next write-up rather than quietly rewriting history: your client is holding a copy of what you sent.
