How do I record a session on my phone?
With the recorder your phone already has. There is nothing to install, and there is no record button inside Slide today, so the answer is the same whether you sit across a table or across a park.
The three steps
Record the session with Voice Memos, or the recorder app on your Android phone, or whatever you already use. Nothing about it has to be special: it is the same file you would have made anyway.
Then open app.slidepractice.com in your phone's browser, sign in, and start a new write-up. Slide is a website, not something you download, so the dashboard works on a phone the same way it works on a laptop.
Pick the client, choose the file, confirm that everyone in the session agreed to be recorded, and upload. Slide transcribes it and drafts the write-up in your field's structure, and the draft waits for you to read.
Audio goes in as MP3, M4A or WAV. The upload screen states the size limit and tells you what to do if a file is over it. What the upload screen asks for.
What about a video call?
The meeting recorder that would join a Zoom or Google Meet call for you is not live yet and has never joined a call, so today a video session works the same way an in-person one does: you save the recording your meeting tool made and upload it afterwards. That works on every plan, and it writes the same write-up.
Nothing records on its own
Slide does not listen in the background and never starts a recording by itself. Recording happens because you started it for a particular session, and consent from everyone present is yours to get before you do. Some places require every person in the room to agree.
