Slide Practice against TutorCruncher.
TutorCruncher runs a tutoring agency: scheduling, payments, payroll and a client pipeline, with a platform fee plus a card processing percentage. Slide Practice writes the lesson report and never touches what a client pays you.
Slide Practice wrote this page, and we make one of the two products in it, so read it the way you would read any comparison written by a competitor and check the claims yourself. Everything said here about another product was read off that product's own public pages as of September 2026. No competitor's exact price appears anywhere on this site, because prices change and a stale number is worse than none.
01What each one is for
Two products, two jobs, stated plainly.
Slide Practice
An agency whose operations are solved and whose problem is that twelve tutors write twelve different things at twelve different lengths.
How it is priced A flat monthly price per practitioner, with two agency plans above it billed once for the whole team. The cost does not move with how many clients you have or how much audio you put through it.
TutorCruncher
A tutoring agency running tutors, clients, scheduling, payments and payroll at a scale where a spreadsheet has stopped working.
How it is priced A monthly platform fee from a low starting point plus a card processing percentage on payments taken through it, so the cost has two parts and one of them is a share of the money moving through the system.
An agency owner comparing these two is usually not choosing between them. TutorCruncher is the system the agency runs on, and the question is whether the lesson reports inside it are being written well enough that a parent can tell one tutor from another. That is a writing problem rather than a scheduling one.
02Where Slide Practice wins
Three things Slide Practice does better.
- One report shape across every tutor on the account, with the agency's branding on all of it and the owner able to read every one.
- No share of revenue. The plan is the whole of what is charged, with nothing taken from what clients pay the agency.
- It works alongside the agency system rather than replacing it, so nothing about scheduling, payments or payroll has to move.
03Where TutorCruncher wins
Three things TutorCruncher does better.
- It runs an agency. Its own pricing page lists payments, payroll, split payments, invoicing and a client pipeline, none of which Slide Practice touches.
- Lesson reports are already a feature, so an agency on it is not missing the concept, only the part where somebody writes them.
- Onboarding and training are sold with the plans, which matters when twelve tutors have to be moved onto a system in a fortnight.
04Do not choose Slide Practice if
The cases where this product is the wrong answer.
Do not choose Slide Practice to run an agency. It does not schedule, does not invoice, does not do payroll, and does not manage a tutor's availability. Keep TutorCruncher and let this fill the report.
05The short answer
If you only read one paragraph, read this one.
Keep the agency system. If the reports going out of it are three lines on a good week and nothing on a bad one, that is the thing worth fixing, and it costs a flat monthly price with no share of revenue attached.
