Compare

Slide Practice against Practice Better.

Practice Better is an electronic health record with charting, protocols and insurance billing. Slide Practice is not a clinical system, not a medical record and makes no HIPAA claim. If your work is regulated, this comparison has one answer.

Slide Practice wrote this page, and we make one of the two products in it, so read it the way you would read any comparison written by a competitor and check the claims yourself. Everything said here about another product was read off that product's own public pages as of September 2026. No competitor's exact price appears anywhere on this site, because prices change and a stale number is worse than none.

01What each one is for

Two products, two jobs, stated plainly.

Slide Practice

Non clinical coaching, cash pay, no charting and no insurance: health and nutrition coaches who work to habits rather than to a diagnosis.

How it is priced A flat monthly price per practitioner, with two agency plans above it billed once for the whole team. The cost does not move with how many clients you have or how much audio you put through it.

Its own pricing page

Practice Better

A nutrition, functional medicine or allied health practice that needs an actual clinical record, with charting, protocols, insurance billing and telehealth in one system.

How it is priced Tiered monthly plans by feature depth and client volume, with the clinical, insurance and charting features living on the higher tiers.

Its own pricing page

This is the one comparison on the site with a short answer. Practice Better is an EHR and Slide Practice is not, will not be, and says so in its own terms. The only reason the two get compared is that health and nutrition coaches sit on both sides of the clinical line and the tools on each side look similar from outside.

02Where Slide Practice wins

Three things Slide Practice does better.

  • It writes the check in report itself, drafted from the session, which an electronic health record leaves to the practitioner to type.
  • It is priced as one flat monthly amount rather than by feature tier, and the report writing is on the cheapest plan.
  • It says plainly what it is not. A non clinical tool that states the boundary is easier to place in a practice than one that implies more than it holds.

03Where Practice Better wins

Three things Practice Better does better.

  • It is an electronic health record. Its own site describes charting, protocols, ePrescribe and insurance billing, and Slide Practice is explicitly none of those things.
  • It is built for regulated work. A practice that has to keep a clinical note has a compliance requirement Slide Practice states plainly that it does not meet.
  • Telehealth, forms, programmes and client journaling are in the same product, so a clinical practice is not assembling four tools.

04Do not choose Slide Practice if

The cases where this product is the wrong answer.

Do not choose Slide Practice if you keep a clinical record, bill insurance, prescribe, or work under a rule that requires a covered supplier. Slide Practice is not SOC 2 certified and not HIPAA compliant, and will not claim to be.

05The short answer

If you only read one paragraph, read this one.

Non clinical coaching, cash pay, no charting: Slide Practice is the lighter tool and the report is the thing it does better. Anything regulated: Practice Better, and it is not a close decision.
